The developers of Fortnite added in the game invisible server for the live broadcasting. According to data miners, it was installed together with the last upgrades and was supposed to be launched during the sixth season. Game fans guess that the server will be used during the matches broadcast in the future non-announced tournament.
Last time the same kind of server for broadcast was added in DreamHack Anaheim 2020 — the last LAN-tournament of Fortnite before the Covid pandemic. A new appearance could indirectly indicate Epic Games’ intent to hold offline events. The creators didn’t give any information about tournaments except that in 2021 the Fortnite World Cup will not happen. However, fans believe that “Battle Royal ” may appear in one of the upcoming championships of DreamHack.
A few huge LAN tournaments in different cybersports disciplines will be held in 2021. Valve and PGL will hold ONE Esport Singapore Major 2021 for Dota 2 in Singapore. The Riot Games have already announced that the Mid-Season Invitational 2021 championship for the League of Legends will be held in Iceland.
