Both finalists finished the group stage unbeaten and advanced to the semi-finals of the competition. On their way to the final, NAVI defeated Astralis, while FaZe beat Movistar Riders.
IEM Cologne 2022 took place from 5 to July 17. The teams won a prize fund of one million dollars.
