Valve has announced where the 2023 Dota 2 majors will take place. The information was published in a blog on the official MOBA site.
Dota 2 majors 2023 locations:
- Lima, Peru: February 24 to March 5. Organized by 4D Esports.
- Berlin, Germany: April 28-May 7. Organized by ESL.
- Bali, Indonesia: June 30 to July 9. Organized by IO Esports.
Earlier, Swedish streamer Jean Gorgc Stefanowski commented on The International 2022 champion with Tundra Esports Oliver Skiter Lepko about IceFrog returning to work on Dota 2. Stefanowski noted that he has also heard of the developer temporarily leaving the MOBA development team for another game. That said, the streamer believes that the break is over, and a big patch awaits Dota.
