NAVI removed flags from Russian players on the new website

The Ukrainian eSports organisation Natus Vincere introduced a new website — it does not show the flags of players from Russia. In the last weeks of the old version of the club portal, the Russians did not have the flags of their country and city of origin. Club members of other nationalities kept their flags.

Previously the nationality of NAVI members from Russia was not displayed in the official broadcast of ESL Pro League Season 15 CS:GO. Representatives of the club said that they themselves had asked the TO not to show the flags of cyber athletes. Later, event organisers stopped showing the nationality of all competitors.

In March 2022, the head of Natus Vincere, Evgeny HarisPilton Zolotarev, said that the organisation does not intend to work with people who live in Russia or pay taxes in this country. At the same time, Zolotarev noted that the club plans to keep the rosters for the main disciplines unchanged.

At the time of publication, NAVI has 14 rosters in 11 disciplines: Dota 2, CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege, Apex Legends, PUBG, PUBG Mobile, Brawl Stars, Rocket League, Halo Infinite, Valorant and Mobile Legends. There are 20 Russians among the participants in these teams.
