ESL has announced the next CS:GO major.
IEM Rio 2022 will take place at the Jeunesse Arena from 31st October to 13th November 2022. Tickets for the playoffs will go on sale on 25th May at 8 pm MSC. Tickets purchased for the cancelled ESL One Rio 2020 are also valid for the new major.
The tournament’s prize pool is $1 million. “Contenders” and “Legends” will follow the Swiss system, with 8 of the 16 teams advancing to the next stages and all matches in BO1 format, except for the next stage and elimination matches, which will be in BO3 format. The playoffs are in Single Elimination format.
