NRG eSports defeated Cloud9 in the LCS Summer 2023 League of Legends finals. The match ended with a score of 3-1. NRG earned $100 000 for first place and a spot in the 2023 World Championship – the LoL World Championship.
Cloud9 also won a spot in the year’s biggest League of Legends tournament. The third slot for the 2023 World Championship was won by Team Liquid, who finished in the top three at the LCS Summer 2023. Golden Guardians, who finished in the top four, earned a spot in the World Championship Qualifier.
The LCS Summer 2023 took place from 14 June to 20 August. Ten teams competed for $200 000 and three spots in the 2023 World Championship.
