PGL announces Dota 2 summer major – it will be held with spectators

The PGL company will hold the last Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 majors of the season. It will take place from August 4 to 14 in Arlington, Texas, USA. The announcement was made on the tournament operator’s official website.

The organisers have noted that the championship will be held with spectators. The competition will be hosted by Esports Stadium Arlington, which seats up to 2 500 people. The tournament will feature 18 teams competing for $500 000 and DPC points.

The PGL Dota 2 Major Arlington 2022 will be the second major of the DPC 2021/2022 season. In February, ESL announced the series’ spring championship – it will also be held on LAN with spectators. Valve had previously cancelled the winter major due to the coronavirus situation, after which it instructed the tournament operators responsible for holding regional league finals instead.
