TSM dissolves Valorant roster – team failed regional league playoffs

eSports organization Team SoloMid has abandoned the lineup for Valorant after the completion of the regional league VCT Challengers: Stage 2 for North America. This was announced by the club’s representatives on social media.

Following the second split of the regional league, TSM was able to qualify for the playoff stage but dropped out in the second round, finishing in 7th-8th place. The club failed to qualify for the Ascension Series tournament to compete for a temporary slot in the top international league.

The representatives of TSM said that they do not plan to give up participation in the discipline – a new roster will be assembled before the start of the next competitive season, 2024. Earlier, a similar decision was made by G2 Esports, which fired coaches and four players after the VCT Challengers: Stage 2 playoffs for North America.

In May, TSM announced its retirement from the LCS for League of Legends – the club will move to another dash-1 region. This decision is attributed to the financial problems of the club, which arose after the bankruptcy of the leading sponsor – crypto exchange FTX: the organization conducted a wave of layoffs, abandoned the composition of the academy in the NACL, as well as the team on Rainbow Six Siege.
