Valve has revealed details about the format of The International 2022 in Dota 2. The studio also announced the exact dates of the championship — from 8 to October 30, taking into account the qualifying last chance.
As noted by representatives of Valve on the official website of Dota 2, the next tournament, The International, will be the largest in the history of the discipline. The championship will play 30 teams, taking into account the participants’ last-chance qualifiers, which will be held from 8 to October 12.
In the group stage, 20 teams will play from 15 to October 18. The playoff matches will take place from 20 to October 23 at the Suntec Singapore Exhibition Complex, while the final stage will be played on October 29 and 30 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Valve has also announced the release date for the upcoming Dota 2 update. Patch 7.31d with balance changes will be released on June 8.
